MAINTENANCE

LEATHER IS A NATURAL MATERIAL AND NEEDS CARING FOR IF IT IS TO RETAIN ITS APPEARANCE AND SUPPLENESS OVER A LONG PERIOD.

All leather contains natural oils which are gradually lost through wear or if the material repeatedly becomes wet. Therefore we recommend that a leather dressing be applied at regular intervals to all leather clothing. If your suit should ever become completely soaked with water it is important that you do not attempt to dry it quickly in front of a gas fire or on an electric radiator, this will lead to a loss of natural oils and you will find it very difficult to restore the original appearance and suppleness. The garment should be dried gradually, away from direct heat, and a coating of leather dressing should be applied to restore the oils which will be lost in the drying process. Pay attention to seams and stitching, which dry most quickly after getting wet.

ZIPPER MAINTENANCE:

Regular care for your zippers will help them last longer and avoid jams. You can use a candle, rubbing it sparingly on the zip teeth to lubricate them.

BREAKING IN:

Your leathers need time to adapt to your body. We recommend the following options to help the process:

- Wear them a lot - the best way is to be out shredding;

- Wear them around the house, and in bed for a few nights if possible;

- Do physical activities that will make you sweat like jogging or gym;

 - The more you wear them, the better they will feel.

If none of these help, just give us a shout!
